My Sandy - A Life in Pictures
August 6, 1930 to August 8, 2007

Late Sixties
Life goes on. We decided that it would be best to get away for a while. We had long planned to go to Montreal for Expo '67, and had  reserved an apartment. We decided to keep the reservation and to take an extended trip. So, we stopped in Binghamton on the way up, and in the Pines Hotel in the Catskills on the way home.

Dec. 30, 1967. We spent the New Year holiday with the Ginsbergs and the Rappaports in Atlantic City.

This is the living room of the suite that we lucked into. There were also 2 bedrooms, each about 15' x 25'. The Ginsbergs and the Rappaports had one standard hotel room, with cots, for each family.

January 1969
In the last year and a half, Sandy had been pregnant twice and had miscarried both times. Another pregnancy was not an option, so we decided to adopt. In January 1969, we were blessed with a beautiful little blue-eyed blond girl. Sandy said that she had been pregnant about 9 months in the 2 failed pregnancies, so it was almost as if she had carried Lisa.
